SEASON 3 EPISODE 2: PURPOSE

This week we’re reading chapters 7-13 through the theme of purpose. What does it all mean? What is the point? Is there a point? Do you even need a point? (Don’t worry, we only spend about twelve seconds being philosophical before getting to the actual book.)

Lazlo is sad, Thyon is a jerk, and visitors to the city turn Lazlo’s life upside down. We also meet the Godspawn: a group of half-human, half-god children who have been surviving in the Citadel since the day the Godslayer left them for dead.

This episode was recorded on 24 April 2021.

Show notes

Jen V would like to invite any local-ish Harry Potter fans to drop into the Harry Potter & the Sacred Text Reading Group she’s started up in Wellington… Wellington’s Wizard Wheezes! (Jenn D is extremely jealous she can’t go.)

Regarding ADHD - yep, Jenn D asks lots of stupid questions. Crippling embarrassment is much easier to bear than feeling lost all the time. If you’re also struggling with executive dysfunction, you are definitely not alone. Some resources Jenn D really likes:
