SEASON 3 EPISODE 10: WONDER

It’s our last episode with Strange the Dreamer! We’re very sad about it. For this final section, we’re reading Chapters 63-67 through the theme of wonder. The Citadel tips to the side and a girl falls to her death. Lazlo rushes into action, saving Weep, and coming fully into his inheritance as Godspawn and son of Skathis. He finds Sarai’s body and carries her to the Citadel, where he confronts Minya, demanding she catch Sarai’s soul. She does, but there are consequences... and that is the end!  We also wrap up the book and talk about what’s next.

This episode was recorded on 19 June 2021.

Also, check out the Naomi Novik Scholomancy series.

Jen V mentiones the first Pirates of the Carribean film again.

Hanlon’s razor: never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

All right, we’re going to speedrun Muse of Nightmares and talk about it, so watch this space…

Then, we’re watching Thor: Ragnarok for our next one-shot, looking at it through the themes of family and memory! That bad boy can fit in so much sassy Antipodean humour.

And, finally, for our next series, we’ll be reading Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell through the foundational theme of identity! A truly beloved book. We can’t wait to dive in with you!

We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land where this episode was recorded - the Guringai and Darug people, and the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Our intro and outro music is by the excellent Scott Buckley. Check him out here.
