SEASON 1 EPISODE 8: AWARENESS & GRIEF
Well, this section was rough. We never expected to enjoy it, but starting out with Mutt Malvern literally hamstringing a horse he thought was Corr for no good reason makes us furious all over again. Sean wouldn’t have been sorry if he’d killed Mutt (and we see where he’s coming from, though we do have to point out that murder is bad, kids). The beach is a mess two days before the races; one of the casualties is Tommy Falk. At the funeral, Gabe grieves; Sean releases Tommy’s horse back into the sea; Norman Falk tells Puck she’s dishonoring the race tradition (and possibly making his son’s death a waste); and Sean looks for Puck. They share a kiss (!!!) and she tells him what he needs to hear.

Jen V is getting through all of the TV shows. All of them. She’s already done a rewatch of Avatar: the Last Airbender, and now she’s moved on to Legend of Korra.
